Emlandeleni Primary School Visits RUSA Headquarters: Verulam - KZN
One Hundred & Sixteen (116) learners from Emlandeleni Primary School in Thongathi - KZN visited Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters today (Thursday).
The children arrived in multiple mini bus taxis at 09:00. They toured Administration Offices and the Operations Centre before being introduced to K9 Max, a black German Shepherd. RUSA Paramedics conducted a medical simulation and Recruitment Officer, Xoliswa Mthembu provided an insight on anti-kidnapping methods.
The children departed at approximately 10:30.

Noodsberg Primary Visits RUSA HQ: Verulam - KZN
76 Learners and 11 Educators from Noodsberg Primary School visited Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters for their annual excursion today (Monday).
A bus transporting the Grade 1 to Grade 5 children arrived in Verulam - KZN at approximately 10:17. The children viewed the RUSA Helicopter up close. RUSA Paramedics conducted a medical simulation and a tour of the offices.
The children departed an hour later and proceeded to South Beach in Durban - KZN for the second part of their excursion.

Helicopter Landing At Northlen Primary School: Phoenix - KZN
The RUSA Robinson R44 Helicopter landed at the Northlen Primary School in Phoenix - KZN this morning (Tuesday).
On board the aircraft was the school Principal Mr S. Naicker (picture 16) who was retiring after 40 years of service. He served 23 years at Northlen Primary School. 640 learners & 22 staff were present for the landing. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) sent out Training Manager Angel Mbali to address the scholars on safety.
The school was established in 1982.

SAPS/RUSA/Metro Joint Operation: Verulam CBD - KZN
A successful Joint Operation that yielded positive results was conducted in the Verulam CBD in KZN this morning (Friday).
The South African Police Services (SAPS), Metro Police, Verulam Business Forum (VBF) and Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) conducted foot & vehicle patrols since 10:00.
Several suspects were arrested for various crimes & five (5) mobile phone repair kiosks were abandoned when law enforcement arrived at the premises.
Joint Operations will continue in the Central Business District.
